The Swing Cats members combined have more than 160 years of performance experience which adds up to sensational shows and thoroughly satisfied listeners! Purrrhaps the most outstanding thing these talented musicians have to offer is their genuine love of making great music.

The Swing Cats Live: Every Night & Every Day, is the debut CD release for this dynamic 7-piece ensemble. Recorded live July 15, 2000 at The Lyric Theatre, Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the concert performance was sponsored by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and CanWest Global Communications Corp. It's a somewhat eclectic representation of the varied influences represented by the band's members, but it stays very close to the groove sensibility that is "swing music". The Swing Cats Live: Every Night & Every Day runs the gamut from the downright jazzy "Every Night & Every Day" and "Pennies From Heaven" to the country swing of "Cat Walk", the rockin' blues of "Help Me" and the R & B-flavoured "Woman Blue".

The album, with musical direction by Janice Finlay, boasts 6 original compositions by Finlay and Gary Grosvenor to match the 6 cover tunes and was produced by Grosvenor and Dave Shaw. Post-recording engineering and mixing was by Howard Rissin and mastering by Al Hunnie. For the CBC, the executive producer was Tom Anniko, producer was Sonia Arab and recording engineers were Marc Demers and Greg Boboski. The Swing Cats Live: Every Night & Every Day was manufactured and cover design and layout was created by Polar Bear Productions and stage sound for the live performance was by James Richardson and Gary Grosvenor.

The CD release party was the talk of the town! This social event of the season was held Friday November 10th, 2000 in the Wellington Room (formerly the Hollow Mug) of the International Inn. The spacious ballroom, with its huge dance floor, was the perfect setting for a feline frolic!
